Ahh...I knew that would get this thread some views...no my steering wheel did not actually catch fire, after all I bought a Chevy...not a Ford!

I have always loved the 1964 Impala but they are impossible to find and expensive when you do. I fell in love with the 1996 Impala SS the second I saw it, but again finding one in difficult and usually over priced (not to mention far from stock) when you do so at last I am now the proud new owner of a black 2004 Impala LS and I have to say I am impressed. I was sold on the test drive and it seems that each day the car looks better and better each time I stare at it. I was so relieved to find this forum and find all the stuff that can be done to this car I'm an aftermarket junkie. I already have a list of mods I want to do right away to squeeze as much horsepower out of this thing as possible like;

- High performance turn signals
- Turbo charged side view mirrors
- High flow glove compartment
- Upgraded wiper fluid tubing

And lots more. So I look forward to many a night sitting up trying to figure out why my dash is lighting up like a xmas tree and finding out the reason why I should never have attached jumper cables to certain body parts.

So hows that for a new member thread...

Sincerely,

The Devil Twisted Evil

Don't mind this guy ^

Welcome. Judging by your post, you'll fit in well here. Also, I agree 100% on your list. '64 > '94-'96 > '00-'05

Yeah, actually I liked it a lot. But you didn't have to do that. Your post is your post. I just suggested he not mind it. Smile

Good. But in all actuality, you did not suggest he not mind my post. You STATED "Don't mind this guy." Big difference. Smile

I'm sensing a bit of sarcasm here. I didn't buy this car for its superior anything, lets face it, all cars are going to have problems, my family goes through cars like most people go through paper plates - and at some point in time no matter if its a 10 year old Cadillac or a brand new BMW - its going to eventually have to go to the shop. If I wanted something to just drive around stock with a class A warranty in case my windows fogged up I would have just laid out a huge monthly payment on a new Benz or something to that effect.

I wanted a car that was a good base to start with. Something I could buy cash and then tweak and mod and drive till it dies and I dump it in a river.

PS - Thanks for the warm welcome Chad. moon LoL

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, don't mine SatImpala. Poor guy had some issues with his car and got fed up with it and bought a Mustang. All of us have had issues with out cars, but some get their panties in a bunch, sell it and then share their negative opinions.

Dangit, I forgot this emoticon in my reply... Wink
Yeah don't mind me, I just like to tease people about it; but I don't mean any harm. Besides the engine and transmission; the actual chassis is pretty well thought out. Never had any issues with that part of the car.
Welcome to the forums man and good luck with modding your car.
