I love the sound of a good exhaust but I am torn as to wether or not I should get a Catback Magnaflow exhaust system on my LT3 3.9 V6. I guess I just always thought a beefed up exhaust was for V8's but this V6 seems pretty stout and is sporty enough looking to pull it off.
I am sure there are others on here with V6 Impala with exhaust mods, just curious as to some of you're thoughts and opinions on this. Thanks!

I love my GMPP (Magnaflow) exhaust on my L36. I can't imagine I'd be upset if I bought one for a 3.9L Impala.

If the maggies are straight through mufflers, it'll probably sound like this, but a little quieter.

It probably won't sound like a 3.8 exhaust because the 3.9 is a 60* motor. The video I posted is of my 3400 which is also 60*.

90% of the time you can make your car sound better, its a good thing. Magnaflow is one of my favourite companies when it comes to exhaust work. Go for it, you won't be dissapointed.

Thanks for all the input. Sounds like that's my next big project after I get my wheels. Plus I have to make sure i'm not going to void my warranty from the dealership.

There is no way an exhaust kit will void your warranty (aside from what you replaced).

A catback, no. Downpipe, plog, or headers, yes.

I don't consider those an 'exhaust kit', but WhiteLightning is 100% correct that a downpipe or headers will void warranties.

Beefed up?? Go with flowmaster 40 originals, decide what tip you afterward.
If you want to lower the tone and quieten it down, go with resonated tips and if you want it loud, go with a basic stainless tip w/o a rolled edge.

Iffy and Whitelighning thanks for the info
Kc I am definetly a fan of the deeper tones. I don't want it LOUD but in the same note I do want to hear what I paid for. Ya know?? If I had to pick one or the other i'd say loud.

With Flowmaster original 40s, youll definitely hear it.
Some think the Super 40s and Delta 40s are too loud.
