Good afternoon. Facing the engine from the front, on the left hand side of the engine, there is a small radiator pipe (hard, not a hose), 1/2" diameter or so between the serpentine belt tensor mount and the head. It is bent at 90 degrees and is about 1 1/2 " per side. This pipe leaks from the head side. Stop-leak has yet to help.

Any ideas on repair procedure? Any needed parts? What is this pipe called?

Any advice will help. Thank you.

Jim

Thank you Sir for your assistance. I should have this done in a couple of hours (and a 6-pack) from now. The assistance makes this a quick job...the 6-pack keeps me alive in the 100 degree heat!

If I may add something, N EVER use Stop Leak in any coolant system. It can actually clog important pathways for the coolant to effectively keep the engine from overheating. Just my 2 cents....lol

I agree...except in dire situations. The leak came on very quickly and almost stranded my daughter. I used Alumaseal, which is supposed to lubricate as well as stop leaks. The point's moot anyway. I drained and refilled the system.

Thank you again,.
