Haynes manual: http://product.half.ebay.com/C.....1QQtgZinfo

It's not as good as the factory manual, but it's cheaper and better than nothing for most of what you'll need to do.

Learn to use and love the search function.

Buy an OBD2 code scanner.

Buy used tools from pawnshops instead of being tempted by the cheap junk at harbor freight. You'll need a set of metric sockets and wrenches, screwdrivers, and torx drivers. A floor jack and jackstands will make your life a LOT easier. Don't go under the car when it's only supported by a jack!!!

So, what's wrong with the car?

I'd wager the LIM gasket like a lot of Imps. But the Haynes manual is a good investment. That's how I found out what read out codes in the code scanner meant more than the book that came with the scanner said.

And don't forget the essential part of any toolbox content, the book "1001 Bad Words".

That book doesn't even cover half of the stuff I've said when jumping into a tirade while working on the car. I actually scared my neighbor when I was dealing with my wheel situation a few weeks ago. Laughing
