The last couple of days the blower for the AC/Heater hasn't been working all the time. It won't come on when car first starts but anywhere from a minute to 10 minutes later it does start working. I'm thinking it might stop working all together.

Could this be some kind of corrosion issue. As I found out, rain water was running down my windshield on the passenger side and the rubber piece had fallen off to prevent the water from running down into the filter. I have reattached the rubber to prevent this but I'm afraid the damage might be done.

What would I need to do? Can I access the blower easily enough to fix any corrosion issues or will I need to take it to a garage?

Any thoughts or other possible reasons for this issue would be appreciated.

There's no resistor on the 2004+ Impala.

The blower motor resistor got replaced with an electronic speed controller.

I wonder how many times you are going to post the wrong info for the blower and not pay attention when you are corrected...

So I gather it isn't a resistor if I'm following this discussion correctly.

Could it be a relay or are there any other suggestions that might get me on the right track?

Thanks
