After we got our car out of the shop, we noticed the steering wheel cants to the left. Hmmm, it wasn't this way last week...

On a trip yesterday, the Tire Pressure Monitor came on. I stopped to check it, and, for some reason the left front tire had 10 more PSI than the others.

After adjusting the pressure to match the rest, and resetting the monitor, the car tracks hard right!!!

These jackasses have screwed the alignment up somehow, and it looks like they tried to hide it!!! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I sent the owner a message with no response. I'm f'n pissed!!!

How could they have screwed it up? What would you do?

That's BS. Why don't you go to the shop and raise hell, they don't like trouble usually.

Well for starters, did you get a printout when they were done? Also, I always take my car on a long drive after getting it aligned to make sure everything checks out. Sometimes the tech that does it, has no idea what they are doing. I have had my car aligned with the steering wheel at about 45* of rotation and the tech didn't think it was an issue... Just take the car back and have them look at it again.

It wasn't sent in for alignment. It was in for the transmission and MAF issue. Sad

Tell them you are unemployed and will stand outside their business EVERY DAY and scream and shout/cuss about how bad they are and say you'll bitch online like superpages. Nobody wants that kind of attention, you should get everything squared away.

WARNING: NEVER BLUFF THESE KINDS OF THINGS WITHOUT BEING WILLING TO FOLLOW THROUGH!!!!!!

Unless you have solid evidence that they messed something up, you really can't do much but bring it back and ask them what they did.

Unless something completely unrelated to what they did happened to break. It's happened to me before... I'm just saying be cautious. You don't want to make an ass out of yourself without proof.

The Impala had no alignment issues beforehand and the steering wheel was not canted, And, I sure didn't have over 40 PSI in my left front.

Then you take it back to the shop and tell them to fix what they messed up. Don't switch into business bashing mod until they fail to make it right.

Then after that use a different place. It may make no difference to the shop you first went to but it will to you (and your Imp).

What was the tranny issue? If they had to mess with the engine cradle they could have shifted it out of place when they reinstalled it, which would cause some pretty bad alignment issues.

Good call on the engine cradle being moved for transmission work. I bet that's the root cause of your issue.
