I would like to purchase replacement bulbs for my 2000 LS dual climate control module before I remove it from the car. Can someone tell me how many bulbs and what type I should get? If they are all currently incandescent can I replace them with 5mm leds and a 470 resistor? Thanks.

I have some replacement bulbs.
6 backlight bulbs and 4 indicator bulbs.
620 ohm is best.

Thanks for your quick replay. I'd like to do the 6 back lights for now. So should I use 6 LED that are 5mm with 820 ohm 1/4 watt resistor in series with the long lead on the LED?

The slider bulbs are what is out now. I see Radio Shack has white 5mm high brightness LED bulbs #276-014 and 680 ohm 1/2 watt resistors. I guess that's what I will get. Thanks for your help.

Radio Shack price is $1.99 for a 2 pack ( correct part # is 276-017) and the bulbs are rated 7000mcd with a 30 degress viewing angle. No good?

Thats excellent pricing. Very nice. I guess for the purpose of doing just 6 of these in my LS, i dont mind the $1 a piece pricing. The Shack is just down the street, too. I would think the 7000mcd rating should give me a near stock brigtness level. Thats really all I'm looking for at this point. Thanks again for all the info and help.
