Hey I'm sorry if this is redictulously newbish but I'm thinkin about getting a Overkill PCM and I got a few questions.
1. Can I get my 2-stage limiter raised/removed (Park/Neutral No-rev)
2. Should i mention my exhaust/intake mods(does it matter enough to make a differance)
3.Will it kill MPG
4.Will it damage a older engine (2003 w/190,XXX)
Thanks for the help

Yes. Removing the Park/Neutral limiter is a good way to cause damage.

Depends on how you drive it.

See above.

1) that limiter is there to prevent you from ruining your engine...
2) I'd mention it, whether or not he makes changes is up to him then
3) Overkill's tunes tend not to drop your fuel economy much from what I've heard, but it really depends on how much you put your foot into it. I believe Pitch Black SS went through a tank of 93 octane in less than 100 miles after he got his tune and some other work done.
4) shouldn't be an issue unless it's been poorly maintained

That being said, Overkill's customer service has severely degraded over the last year or so. If the prospect of waiting a few months for the PCM or having to send several emails to get the PCM sent to you bothers you, I'd look elsewhere. 2 Cents

Edit: I've been beaten to the punch. Laughing

Well...not trying to sounds foolish but I don't think I'm dumb enough to ruin the motor by overreving it, think it'd be kinda hard to do really...
Thanks for the quick response, Couldn't the rev limiter b set to a safe RPM...just a comprimise, protect the motor while still allowing it to rev alittle...

There is no real reason to rev your engine while you are in park...

It prevents you from over-revving your engine. The bottom line is you shouldn't be hitting it... if you hit it, you are doing something you shouldn't be doing.

True...but I'd like to be able to rev it up alittle and listen to the pipe job...
A motor should be able to rev up in neutral or park without issuem I've never heard of anyone messing up their motor by revving it unless they don't maintain it or it was about to die anyway...
Point is I don't plan to pin it and try a make it blow I'm just exploring options

It's your car, do whatever you want. Personally, I'm not one to override things that the engineers incorporated to protect the engine...

It's somewhere between 3k and 4k. I don't make a habit of hitting it, so I can't tell you exactly.
