My fuel gauge is tripping out ever since i top swapped the car...it goes all the way to the top and then in a lil bit goes all the way back down...the car was sitting for about 6 months so I'm going to thinking something is stuck in the tank....any clues to a fix
Mine did the same thing when I had trouble flashing a tune to the car. It had something to do with the VATS, it also had a hard time starting and "service vehicle soon" flashed on the DIC once or twice. Re-flashed it and all was well.
Don't know if that's your problem, but it's something to look into since you put a different PCM in.
I replaced mine in my 03LS. Gotta be careful getting the fuel line clips loose so you don't break them. The lock ring is tough to get back in with the new gasket that it has. You will have to rewire the pig tail on most of the pumps you buy. They want the pig tail to be replaced. The pigtail on your car will not plug into most new pumps you buy. I seen where my sender had wore the edges of the the contacts out so it would get no contact for the fuel level.

My parents' LeSabre has the batt under the back seat (what a dumbass whomever "designed" that ), so for giggles I'll see how ours comes out.
Under the backseat? Volkswagen did this in the 70's on their Beatles. The battery would ground out against the metal on the back seat frame and catch it on fire and burn the car to the ground. Happened to my dads after he sold it.

How much miles are on those seats? How much pounds of ass were applied to the seat during every trip? Lol
