I was reading the sticky up top and it said that the pcm is set up by the cars vin. So I just want to make sure I'm understanding that right.
So if I needed a stock replacement pcm, Its saying that I can't just go find another 03 Impala LS and swap the pcm...Right?
I would have to order a aftermarket one from someone like zzp or something like that?

No, you can't just swap, you would need to have your VIN programmed into the PCM and it would have to be from the same year and for the same engine/tranny combo
