Would the SS boost cluster work in my car after the swap? Dont feel like wiring a separate gauge. Dont know know how easy or hard it could be.

Are you using a 2004 L67 bin file after the swap? If so, I think the gauge will work. But see that you have a 2000 Imp makes me think that you have to use a 2000 cluster no matter what. You may be stuck using your cluster and just wiring in your own gauge.

It's not that hard to wire up. 3 or so wires and a vacuum tee in the boost line.

I guarantee BBE will know this one.

Was the 2000 Monte supercharged? I've got a 2000 Monte cluster w/o boost that works perfectly in my 2000, but I've seen them with a boost gauge.

I am not sure what bin file the shop is going to use. But if they dont, i can always get a spare pcm and flash a 2004 l67 bin in and use that and see if the cluster might work. Is there a thread that could help me out step by step on wiring the gauge up if the ss cluster fails?

I'm sure BBE will know too but I do know for a fact that there was no Supercharged Monte Carlo in 2000. L67 MC's were out until 2004.

Just my personal opinion but if your going to go through with the top swap, get an aftermarker boost gague. The stock one in the cluster is not very accurate at all.

If you are swapping in an L67 w/ tranny, then you have to use the 2004-2005 L67 PCM and the cluster will work (and should be fine as far as the brake light is concerned)

If you are not swapping in the tranny then you have to use the 2000 PCM and the cluster won't work.
