It sounds like a similar problem we had with lsxwannabe's in houston. The file was not compatable wiht the year of his car and fried the pcm that what it sounds like happend to you. I am sure castylin will give his 2 cent on this , since he was the one that got lsx going again.

Make sure the new (used) PCM has the same number on it. Oh, and LSX having a low battery didn't help either.

EDIT: btw pretty sure you bricked your PCM
EDIT #2: This is also, another reason I only play with my tuner at my house. lol

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Powertuner was only for the 3800.

You did enter the VIN in all uppercase, correct? If you don't, it will cause a no start condition.

Did you take the PCM out and swap in a different one before the flash, or is it the same physical PCM?

The PT works for all the W-body v6s and a few other engines.

There are lots of reasons that a write doesn't take and can cause a bricked pcm. Aftermarket radio chime harnesses interfere with the class 2 data bus so if you have one, it needs to be unplugged or you need to pull the radio fuse when you attempt to write to the pcm. Open doors or any unnecessary power draws need to be eliminated to prevent a bad write.

What about the batt being disconnected?

You can't disconnect the battery because you need power to operate the tuner and the class 2 data bus. No power, no OBD 2.
