The best part?
Those of us with the "old" 5901 systems can upgrade just the remote without losing any functionality!

I'm sure I'll go upgrade mine sooner or later. But I have more urgent things to put the money towards right now.

Waste of money plus monthly fee and $300 price tag. Too expensive.

I used to like mine, but it's getting annoying having the aux, function, and remote start buttons on the side. You have to dig your nail into the button to push it. (or maybe I just have big fingers lol)

Not to mention mines been glitching on and off for a while. Sometimes it just thinks the cars out of range, even if I'm standing right next to it. After hitting the window, making the alarm go off (and looking like a felon) the car pages my key fob, and lets me resume normal use.....?

This one *should* be less glitchy, since it's a newer model, and hopefully viper addressed the issues with the 5901.

Also, here's a guy playing the entire demo and ALL the animations,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYOjGLafd68
It's got much more than I could think of. Minivans sliding doors, windows rolling up, parking meters, garage doors opening / closing, hatches opening, ALL the good stuff that you never thought of!

The only thing I can complain of is:
The SOUND
I wish they would have fixed the sounds to be a bit less annoying. Sounds like you're playing a demented version of pong and pac man.
I have my 5901 set to vibrate only. I couldn't stand the sounds from the first day I unlocked it.

I have the 5000. At the time I didn't want remote start and didn't want to pay the extra money to get one with that feature. Aw well.

now that i have the screen version, i prefer not to have the screen at all...they don't last very long before they shoot kraps & cost too much to replace Sad so i've just been using my side remote w/o the screen on it, trying to be more careful haha.
nice features now a days, tempting to get one myself when i install a bunch of them over the winter time...gets old after a while
