Well this weekend I finally had time to get around to taking the boxes apart and making them look a little better.

before:

after:

I plan to do the trunk lid cover thing in the same carpet as the boxes. inside car will also be getting new carpet and seats soon so I'll have pics of that next.

oh, and yeah I know the subs aren't straight, I turned them because I didn't feel like adding support/another trim ring behind the sub to re-use the same screw holes, so I just rotated the sub a bit

they def look better, and you can tell they hit a lot harder than before

for about 25 -30 bucks in supplies it was a great fix

now get some black spray paint and shoot it into the ports. Next time you build a box you'll remember to paint the insides so they dont show through the ports. I know I did after the first box I built.

Great idea doing the two boxes. That makes removal a heck of a lot easier. I second Pitch's opinion regarding spraying the ports black, they will look that much better blacked out.

I thought about spraying it black, I sort of like the wood showing? dunno why (other than the glue showing which kinda looks like ass looking back on it) So sometime in the next few weeks I will probably mask off the carpet and spray it.

and to iffy, thanks yeah these suckers weigh a ton without the subs in them, so I figured two boxes would be most practical for me.

sauce thanks for that..pretty much won my decision over for going back and spraying the ports Laughing
