Can someone please tell me the location of the OBD connector on a 2004 Impala?

It's under the steering wheel, just above the gas pedal. Stick your head down at about seat level and look towards the firewall. You'll see it.

If you can't find it yourself, please take your car to a professional. It's where it's supposed to be, below the knee bolster, as indicated on this photo.

Note: vehicle pictured is not an Impala.

That picture reminds me of the time I was on the lot of a new car dealership and opening the door of one of their new cars with the salesman, I see that the fuse box cover is missing as shown in the picture. I said to the salesman "look at that!" He said, "Oh, the cars are shipped without certain fuses in place so there is no fire hazard during shipping. The dealerships put in those fuses after delivery and we must have forgotten to put on the fuse cover".
Anyone ever heard of fuses being removed prior to shipping?

It's been my experience with some places they remove the guarantee on the car soon after you buy it. Aholes. Evil or Very Mad
