Hey guy's i've noticed on most sites the o2 sim's/emulators only work up till 2003. But on thrasher it did not state that. So i sent them an email and i was told that in 04 GM started to get ready for obdIII but obviously the 04+ runs on obdII. He then went on to say thay a GM tech said it should work for my 05 ss. Well what do you guy's think?

In 04, the O2 sensor was changed to add a larger heater as well as the heater being driven by the PCM via a PWM signal

The O2 simulator doesn't satisfy what the PCM is looking for starting in 04

agreed it's only up till 03 cuz on 04 and 05 they changed the wiring setup for what the connection plug... for my 01 it has a HO2S low and high signal, ground, and ignition 1 voltage...

For a 2005 impala rear o2 sensor it has a low reference which i'm guessing is the ground? along with a high signal and heater low control along with ignition voltage...

BBE can probably simplify the wording for ya if ur still wanting to know but overall it won't work with an 04 or 05 impala just 00-03

If you find a way to do that to an 05 with a Powrtuner, I'd be very interested in how...I can't get it to work.

Its weird i got an email from zzp one day sayin it wont work then zoomer emails me the next day sayin it will work lmao! And about the power tuner working for an 05 a guy i know tried tuning my car with the dhp pcm and it wouldnt connect?!?! He then downloaded a new file that he thought would work but ended up selling the PT before we could try. So you cant use the PT on an 05 at all?

You can use the PT with an 05, you just have to have a .bin file to use with it from DHP.

Nice Wink !

Thanks frank. I'll just have it done with HP if the guy with the PT dont have that bin file.

I still find it funny that zzp says no one day and the next they say yes Smile
