so i made an intake for my car but i ended up not doin fwi....i was tryin to follow the write up from the gtp forum but couldnt get all the right parts and i dont think the impala is exactly the same where it goes into the fender

anyway i do have blower whine Wink

but what i need to know is how do people secure the computer with the air box out?

Most people get a PCM tray of some sort. I think the common option is a PCM tray out of a Blazer.

the grand prix and impala are very simular, though i do think the stock air boxes might be different. post some pics so we can help you better

i did not know that the PCM tray was out of a blazer, i always thought it odd that GM would make something like it for people installing aftermarket CAI. now i know why they really make it

couldnt get it to fit in the fender so i figured this would be my best option for the coldest air

That filter looks a tad small. You'll probably end up having to clean it more often than if you had gone with a slightly larger one.

I have my PCM wedged under the CAI tube for 3 years now. Nothing holding it in but gravity and the force of the CAI
