Where does the spring go in this kit. Have not been in the upper yet but have heard no reference to a spring?

It's for the PCV valve which is located under the MAP sensor...it's the hole on the top of the passenger side of the manifold.

what intake is this....what is it goin on....im new to impala performance....enlighten me

He's just replacing his old upper intake for a new one. Dorman's are basically stock for stock. They just don't melt as easily.

If by better design you mean the aluminum intake for the L26? Then yes. The plastic design was never updated by GM IIRC. But Dorman made a more robust one.

yes that was that i was meaning... my bad on the wording... and ur right on the dorman i did read that somewhere on zzps tech articles about their reinforced upper intake manifold
