Sure this will be obvious when I get in there but what is the straw tube that is involved with upper intake plenums ? ? ?

(1.) Does it connect to anything (pcv base inside) or just get snapped into the gasket base and stub over close without any connection to anything?

(2.) Elbow end points up at which end thermostat end?

My curiosity has the best of me.

P.S. is the one in the photo (dorman) orientated correctly?

the tube goes to the PCV valve and MAP sensor which is the piece in the photo below to the left of the spark plug wires the PCV valve is inside the UIM if i remember correctly it gives the sample air to them both

**edit** to your questions it doesn't connect to anything it is just connected in the clips that are there and the elbow points up toward the hood

Elbow up, understood.

Is elbow as shown in picture, straight end towards pcv?

Thanks!

His dog ran away and didn't come back for a few hours on the first fire up too. It was awesome.
