would anybody know what size bulb the fog lights take plz. I searched online and it tells me 2 sizes 896 and 893 . I need to order a HID kit for mine so knowing this would be great. thanks!

guessing you added a LS bumper?

yes got in a little fender bender in the summer and the insurance company threw on a LS front bumper over the orgional base one i had. so figured its time to fill up the slots.

i think it was becasue that was all that was in stock rather then keep me in a rental for too long. also nobody seems to sell the wiering harness for the fogs
would anybody know if each impala already has them tucked away somewhere if they have the factory fogs or not?

The harnesses are not in the base model. They are part of the main wiring harness. The only way to do everything stock is to get an entire new engine harness from a junkyard. Then you will need the headlight switch with the fog button like this:


Then you will need a new BCM and have a dealer program it with the fog light option. Then I believe there are a few pins you have to add in the main harness. There have been a few threads on it- I just ran all my own wiring and installed a switch like aftermarket fogs.

Since you're planning on HIDs, I would suggest just hooking up the HIDs with the relay kit then running a switch into the cabin.

yeah, its a crazy install, there is a how to on here someewhere.

Best bet is to wire them up to a seperate switch and relay.

I assumed it would of been an easy job , just connect the dimmer part to the car and the fog button direct the fog lights Sad
