Hi guys... My 2000 LS has something not right with its fan blower. It has started to lightly squeal intermittently... Not sure if the two are connected, but it is also making a very strange scraping/brushing sound only when the steering wheel is turned to the LEFT. Could a foreign object or debris be causing this? I have no idea where the blower is located, or how to remove it if necessary... Help me out guys! Take care, and thanks in advance.................
I had the same issue with a squeeling blower motor in my Intrigue back in the day. It wasn't too bad, but it was enough to annoy me. I ended up replacing the entire blower motor to get rid of the noise. It's located up against the firewall under the passenger side dash. It's relatively easy to remove except for the fact that you will be lying on your back with your head under the dash. I removed my passenger seat in the Intrigue when I replaced it and my Monte when I did the blower motor resistor.
Protip: If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it.
