Hoop at top of key is broken and keeps falling off my key ring. Would like to just cut the hoop off and drill a hole in the key head.

Are these keys chipped in anyway?

I know at my work we have an item that actually wraps around the original key holder and is more sturdy.

You can also just get a copy made at Walmart or wherever that makes an all metal key, instead of the GM keys with the plastic heads.
