OBD scanner say’s code 128 is ‘Coolant Temp Below Thermostat Regulating Temp’. Haynes doesn’t say much. Anybody dealt with this before?

Bad Thermostat or bad coolant temp sensor... or both.. (assuming the coolant is at the right level and there is no air in the system)

Probably a bad thermostat, i get that same code in the winter, for the past 3 years. Laughing Only happens when it gets really cold and it takes longer for the engine to warm up, I have the stat with me, but its a PITA on the 3400 to change. Sad

Like BBE said It's a bad thermostat, I have just replaced mine, I didn't get any codes or CEL but the car couldn't reach it's normal operating temperature, it was only at 140 all the time. When I removed it the thermostat was half open.
