So the weather in Asheville, NC has been holding at a nice frigid 10 degrees or lower with the wind chill. Thusly all pipes and hoses are frozen and there is nothing but black ice everywhere. Finally it hit 40 on the thermometer, so I went to do some work on the 'pala. The hose was frozen, and daylight was wasting. I boiled some water and poured it down the hose length, four times, to thaw it completely, and the washing commenced.

Sadly I only got one picture when I took her out for a drive along the farming countryside.

Still a beauty!

And Wingman, you find me some of those diamond star SS rims for cheap and I may give you my first born.

Ok so maybe not but damn they are the best looking factory rims I've seen. (The Kia Forte Koup doesn't have bad stock rims either...)

I just washed BIG BLAK for the first time since September. It looked like a salt lick.

My car doesn't look too bad right now for having driven 160 miles since washing it. Oh, and I parked at a construction site for most of yesterday so I had a good layer of orange dust on the car. A light rinsing will fix that though. To me, my black cars seem to look cleaner longer as long as they don't get dusty or something. I guess that's what happens when you own white cars for most of your life.

I did the same thing over the weekend. My car was pretty much white from the road salt up north (so bad that when I came home one night last week, my roommate thought it was someone else visiting our neighbor)... it still looks like crap, but better than it did before.
