I went to start the car. Nothing.. The lights kicked off when i turned to start just like they normally would if the car would start but nothing. Sometimes i get a clicking noise under the hood but not always. There is a noise coming from the dash on the driver side. There is a clicking coming from the passenger side dash. When i remove the key the lights come on as normal. I replaced the battery. Still same thing. Has anyone had this problem?

I've had the same thing happen and it was hell to chase down...Are your battery cables tight enough, and have you cleaned all the contacts (battery, cable end, fuse box, grounds, starter, etc)?

Plus your cables need to be tight...I used to not tighten it enough trying not to strip the terminals on the battery since they are made of lead. The proper torque is 11 ft/lbs...don't tighten it by guessing; use a torque wrench. Smile Mine ended up stuff being dirty plus not being tight enough.

I had the same thing, found it to be the fuse.

If it is the original ACDelco battery I would replace it and do what others have stated.

I had two OEM ACDelco batteries split by the terminal on two different cars. One of
them actually had the whole terminal fall out with the cable still connected to it!

Johnson Industries has actually fixed that issue. They supplied the cases for the Delco batteries. Now, they have a different case design and is MUCH better. Since the change a couple years ago, I haven't seen any more problems like they had in the past.

maybe is your starter, or a voltage regulator problem.

I have an AC Delco in the Imp. Works fine for me so far. Although when I when to charge it up after leaving my map light on all night, I used a plug in battery charger, it did the weirdest thing. When turned the key on all the interior and exterior lights started flickering and a loud buzzing sound came from the speakers. Confused

Any way could the no start problem be linked to a sercurity issue? I don't think anyone has mention that yet.

Leaving your map light on shouldn't be an issue unless your RAP system isn't working properly. Don't turn anything on in the car with a charger connected...in fact, I'd disconnect the battery from the car entirely before throwing a charger on it due to the BCM being so sensitive.
