Unless I'm wrong, which i doubt, this guy is rolling around in a fake SS.
Exhaust, grille color, & spoiler are the things i see missing. He did go through the trouble of getting a rear chevy ss logo and 3 "SS" logos. One side of his car lacks "Impala" but still has the SS, the driver side has both. I waited for this guy to come out but he never did...

Sorry about the quality, i had the resolution down on my phone for no apparent reason.

Completely fake.
Side skirts are from a base model.
No taillight covers
Probably chrome "impala" script on the back, which is for base models.
Single outlet, tipless exhaust
No spoiler.

It's sad but so true. The stupidest one I have seen in a while was a Ford Escort with the big Impala door badge on the back. It looked so out of place it was hard not to notice!

Thats possibly a dealer option, when I bought my 94 Cavalier (in 1993) the dealer had a "GT" version. When I went to a different dealer to compare prices I learned about dealer installed "packages"

In 2000 when the Impala first came back out, the local dealer had "SS" versions and "California Sport" versions. Some Monte SS badges, GTP dual exhaust and SS embroidered mats. The Calif Sport had the exhaust and Sport mats. I never understood the Calif Sport version since I'm in NY Rolling Eyes

I hear the secret behind the 04-05 SS is not the S/C, but instead is all in the badging. Stickers add 5-10 HP, imagine what an actual plastic badge can do for your car. My LS badges add 20 more HP over the 3.4 V6.

I know right? When I gutted my airbox the first thing i did was slap a 5*5 K&N sticker to cover the hole up <- at least 30hp.
