Ok, it may be a little early to start talking about this, but the info is out on the website, and I'm curious as to who I might be running into this year. The few of us that attended last year had a great time. They have already announced that they are going to celebrate 40 yrs of Monte Carlo and 50 yrs of Corvair. Nothing else besides the usual attractions has been announced, but stand by for that to come out. I'll try to put it out as I find it.

Anyway, the event is going to be 25-27 of June. I think the entry fee is $35, but there is a $5 off if you pre-register. There are alot of good hotels in the area. We can start making plans to all get to the same hotel.

I've gone the last 2 years. Last year they changed to points judging. I really liked the points judging. I think it becomes less biased then participant voting. Well, let me know who's up for it!

Oh yeah, and they will be giving away a 1979 Monte Carlo!

I'm planning on making the trip down again this year Cool

I will be staying the entire weekend this time around, I am going to look into were I want to stay over winter break. We stayed at the ramada inn in mechanicsberg last year and it was pretty nice...no fridge in the room though which disappointed me almost as much as having to jump through hoops to find a place that sold beer. So not only did I spend an hour trying to find beer...I had to drink it warm Mad

I'm going to be more prepared this year, definitely bringing multiple cases of brew with me...possibly even my mini fridge Laughing

I think this is what is holding most people back. The thing is you don't have to have a "show worthy" car to enter. There are 100's of people that enter bone stock cars.

Just wanted to update, The Ney York Monte Carlo Club is staying at Quality Inn Carlisle. That is $90 for Thursday night and $130 for Friday night. I think I'll be staying both of those nights. These NYMCC guys are a great group of guys and gals. You are guaranteed to have a good time both on the showfield and at the bar afterward!

Also, the preregister is $30, with $5 off for online registration untill June, then it goes up $10.

That's the one thing I regret about last year, not having time to hit a bar with you guys. A hotel next door to a bar would FANTASTIC Laughing the one we stayed at last year was about a mile away from a bowling alley which, apparently, is the only place you can get beer besides a beer store in PA Laughing

I'm aiming to be there, right now things look like a go, but not 100%. Got the g/f convinced on the trip if we stop by Hershey Park while we're out that way.

PA is the worst for alcohol. Stupid state stores. Plus they're all closed on Sunday. VA has the stupid ABC stores too. You guys need to get on the ball and get the mega warehouses and drive through liquor stores like we have in NJ. Very Happy

what club should I put down so we can get a tent? I always put down NMCOA, but nobody else ever shows up from that club. I'm starting to have my doubts about them. They seem kinda self important! Maybe I'll put NYMCC, even though I'm not part of it, maybe I'll help get a tent!
