Decided to try my hand at vinyl wrapping. Let me know what you think.

Not really diggin' the design but looks like you know what you're doing as far as installation goes. Big Thumbs Up

When I worked at a vinyl shop the hardest part about the wraps was getting the nerve start doing them. 1st step down. Looks good.

Hard to tell just how it looks with the pics. How is it around the edges? I thought I saw something under the vinyl but wasn't sure, then I looked at a stock cover. You just applied the vinyl right over the Chrysler logo and 5.7L V8?

yeah, didnt want to grind them down. I folded the vinyl over the edges, when I bolted the center section back into the engine cover it clamped it all together. Figured it would hold better.

This is only temporary till I get a smoothed & painted intake. Then Im going with half covers.

Something like this....

Ah, ok. Is it more visible in person? The busy pattern on the vinyl helps to hide it.

I like the idea of the painted intake manifold, that'll look great. Is it plastic or aluminum?

they are the factory plastic manifolds, just smoothed and painted. Aluminum ones from the SRT are in the neighborhood for $750 - $900 used. I can get the finished 5.7L Hemi intake for $315 shipped. (core charge not included)

Intake will be silver, half covers will be black with silver & blue realistic flames.

I don't like the color scheme, but that's a cool design and nicely done, application wise.

gonna paint the entire cover silver to match the car, the center panel will be similar to what I did already, the HEMI logos will be polished stainless or vinyl to match the center panel.

Good job. I'd comment on the design but it's not my style so i can't really say anything.
