The car has about 121K miles on it. Its time for an oil change so i figured i would do some other stuff while i was at it.

Oil change, Mobil 1 Synthetic and Mobile 1 filter
Drain the coolant, Probably put Preston in it
Change Fuel filter
Seafoam the tank
Replace windshield wipers

Do you guys have any other things i should do while im doing all this. What about recommendations on what kind of coolant to use?

Maybe you can clean the engine bay, change the transmission fluid with a dexron VI, and the power steering fluid.

Check all the bulbs so you don't see red and blue ones in the mirror. My taillight bulbs were just turning black when I replaced a scratched up taillight with a boneyard one.

Use the m1-201 oil filter by Mobil. Bigger is better!

Edit: Also pour some seafoam into the crankcase and drive around for a little while, then change your oil.

IMO I would just put Seafoam in crankcase and just let it idle rather than driving it.

He'll be fine driving it, I do it before every oil change and have had no probs. Besides, idle doesn't make the oil flow like driving does.

Nice buying all that stuff...... maybe change tranny fluid and filter. Air and cabin filter.. cv joint boots..... and get some grease clean and lubricate stearing linkage and moving suspension/ steering parts.... lubricate important parts

Use the brake booster hose or the hose that attaches to the PCV. You might have to get creative with how you get the fluid to go in there.

I'm not sure if those year Impalas have PCV valves, but they are a cheap replacement. Usually cars that have them will have them located on the top of the valve cover.

When was the last time the radiator hoses were cleaned inside? Are the hoses brittle or worn out?

If your Impala has these, check out the rubber holders that hold the mufflers to the car, I know on some cars those get brittle and tear.

How are your shocks?

Take off the throttle body and clean, or at least open the air intake system up and make sure there is no grime/dirt built up on/in the TB.
