This will probably get moved, but I could not find anything in a search. Our '03 is a base non cop car imp. I've looked ebay, etc. for air horns but can't find any. My reason for wanting one is nitwits at green lights just sitting there waiting for a different shade of green or something.

They don't seem to respond to the regular horn, and all I could find were ones like trains. Thumb Down Do your cars still have them in, or did the cops take them out? Any suggestions where to look? Question

I've never seen any mechanical "stand-anlone-air-horn". Normally the cops use regular police sirens, which have wail, yelp and the air horn tones. In my car i have a Whelen 295SLSA1 and a Fedsig Dynamax speaker. This team makes a pretty loud air horn.

If you wanna have an air horn, you gonna need a police siren (eg. Federal Signal or Whelen) and a siren speaker. But i'm not sure, if it's legal to use it....

The truck stop is your friend. Then just get a small 12v compressor in your trunk and you're set.

Very illegal. The only projectile sound from your vehicle is the horn itself, nothing more. Same reason people get tickets for loud music from a vehicle.

You might check if they are legal in your state as well.

Here's a good one. Laughing

Better than an air horn is a V8 with straight through exhaust. People will look back real fast when you rev it up. Trade the car is for a newer SS. lol

I have two of these rigged up in mine, as well as a stock horn replacement.
All can be bought from Autozone/Advanced Autoparts/Napa, usually wind up to be the same price after dealing with shipping.
Relatively easy to install, minor wiring involved.

I am so glad someone posted this. I was thinking of installing train horns, but I don't want to rip up the body at all.

What brand and size are the driving lights in your bumper slots? Very Happy I'd been thinking of driving/fogs but could never find any for a decent price or they were too big for the openings. Sad
