Am looking at a '05 LS.
The rear window gasket is coming up/out from the glass at the top... by the c-pillar. It's coming up on both sides.
Anybody have this problem and suggestions to fix?
Thanks

When I had my back window replaced after a hellacious hail storm, the glass company had a hard time with the window molding. They ended up using black urethane. Held it down with green masking tape for about 24hrs, and haven't had a problem since.

Don't get urethane, you won't have all the supplies you need or even know what you're doing. I know it sound's extreme, but the only way to fix that is to pull the back glass and molding(will need new molding), and re-install properly.

I have done a ton of these Impala backglass installs, and never had a problem with the molding unless it's very cold.

You never know. Some of us DO know what we're doing. Even a few of us that don't drive a Subaru. Rolling Eyes

But if he was a glass guy, he wouldnt ask the question, he'd already know what to do to fix it. Some of us know more than others Wink

Around $100 labor plus molding. ZSPOT would know what the cost of the molding.

That's what we charge for chip repairs also. How did it come out?

Not bad, can still see it, but barely. I had it for over 2 years, was driving to Florida in the middle of July and decided to have it fixed before the 100 Florida heat made it expand. All I can see is a small dot where it used to be.

Good to hear, Most chip repairs are crap. when I did Frank's repair, I had to attempt a cleanup on a repair he previously had done from a reputable company. He didn't say, but I think he was happy with the results. Laughing
