On my way home from work today, doing about 39-40 mph, someone turning left plowed into me Sad. The damage done to my car was pretty bad, but the damage done to theirs was minimal; they were driving a 97 ford explorer...the driver's wheel was bent all bad, as if the damper/camber was completely out of adjustment. I found out soon that they were driving without a license! She's still drivable and my insurance set up an appointment with a body shop tomorrow morning. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. I've had this wonderful machine for less than one and a half months and its trashed already Sad I hope this never happens to any of you.

I've attached sad pictures of the damage.

That sucks. I'm really starting to hate having to deal with car damage myself.

I'd say new hood, new fender, new bumper, new headlight, new grill support, paint, and hopefully the suspension isn't damaged as well...

The good news is that white is a really common color in the Impala, so if you can find one that was hit in the side or rear at a scrap yard you should be in really good shape. Smile

Let the insurance and body shop do their thing. She'll come back. Cool
Insist on AMERICAN made replacement parts, NOT imported parts.

X2
imported parts are low quality parts, and wont fit properly, and worse they might rust much faster than OEM.

Damn Dude, that sucks..........................

I agree with the Made in USA parts.........

Sometimes we have to see the glass have full instead of half empty. I say this because I have a white Imp and the highway damge on the front bumper, hood and headlights drives me crazy......... I imagine your car suffered the same issue. This way you get a freshly painted front end Hang Head 2

Although it sucks to go though the whole ordeal of the accident and waiting for the repairs the plus side is your ok and the ride looks like it can be repaired..

Good Luck..............

That's just funny right there !!!

Sorry to hear about your car BTW. Should be OK and good in a couple weeks but it must be a PIA waiting for someone to fix your car.

That sucks.

Consider using used parts before aftermarket brands. My Cougar was recently involved in an accident, and it got a used hood and a used headlight, and both are fine. The hood looks new - you'd never know it wasn't stock on the car. The headlight has the usual wear and tear of a 10-year-old headlight, so it doesn't look out of place on the car either.

Pretty sure Canada is part of North America, so yes you indeed are. Wink
