So, this morning I was driving to the barbershop when the front passenger side window fell completely. After turning around and opening everything up to view, I didn't see anything broken but something is obviously causing the window not to hold itself up. Does anyone have any kind of recommendation or previous experience of this?

The window sits in a cradle of some sort that is attached to the regulator.
If the window came out of the cradle or the bolts that fasten it (the cradle) to the regulator came out it would fall.

I'll look to see if I might come up with a pic or something that may help explain better.

Edit: This is for 00-05.
06+ would be same principle just different design.

thanks for the pic. yes its for my 02 imp that i have here in cali. The cradle is still attached to the window but whenever I took off the door panel and moved the module up and down the motor still pushed a separate mechanism up. I will try to get a pic of what exactly i am talking about.. For the time being to keep the window shut I stuck water bottles to keep it shut.

hey guys the same thing just happened to me with the window fallling down the door...how do you even see anything in the door there's no room?! I don't know if the cradle fell off the regulator or the cable snapped. I tend to think it just got knocked off the track b/c the window fell down the door when I closed it last night. ughhh

Take off the interior trim panel and look...once you get that off, if you still have problems seeing, you can take the mirror off and the belt molding...

x3. hahahaha. mine has been broke for a while. now im not going to f with it since im broke as hell. and i have been dealing with not putting my window down for a month or so. but the guys before me, by the window falling. when going up? down? just never sat right?

mine is when it gets about halfway up the part of the window towards the front of the car falls down.

i got the window up by a friend pushing the switch and i hold it back with my hands.
