I am working on a project on a 2005 Impala 9C1 and am wondering where and what color these wires are. Thanks in advance.

VSS:
At the PCM, Connector 1 (Blue), Pin 55 - Dk Green (VSS Signal)

Tach:
Pin E (white) on the Ignition Control Module (under the coil packs)...

There are 2 white wires on the ICM connector... it's not PIN A (the first pin), it's pin E, the 5th pin

What are you working on?

Thank you for the info! I am installing an Audiovox cruise control and integrating that system into the stock steering wheel controls. I can probably document the procedure for others to follow.

ETA: By chance do you know how many pulses the vss gives in a minute?

It's not pulses per minute. It's pulses per mile. And that might depend on the trim. I've never seen the bin file from a 9C1 to tell you for sure. I could tell you for other trim levels.

It's the same as the Monte SS NA or the GP GT if that helps...

Might help. I think I have a GP GT file handy. Used it for making adjustments for Bigrod's gear change.

Stock pulses per mile for a 1999 GP GT is 23536.

Yes, and if I remember correctly, there is actually a (green?) one near the BCM so you dont have to run wire as far, but I would let BBE confirm that.

Yup, Connector 3 (small one on the BCM), pin B5 (Dark Green between 2 light green wires)
