This message is currently on dispaly in my 07 impala, not sure what it means? Yesterday I recently upgraded my alternator wire to + battery with a 2 ga wire but no in line fuse, is that ok? I also upgraded my ground wire from battery to chassis. Is my alternator dying already? I have a 1.2 cap in between by two amps which are 600 rms and maybe 200 rms.

A quick Google search revealed the following:

Quote:
BATTERY SAVER ACTIVE
This message displays when the system detects
that the battery voltage is dropping beyond a
reasonable level. The battery saver system starts
reducing certain features of the vehicle that
you may be able to notice. At the point that the
features are disabled, this message is displayed. It
means that the vehicle is trying to save the
charge in the battery.

Of course, if it's your car and your girlfriend is driving it, I fully expect that the owners manual is in the car and she'd rather call you than pop it open and read it. Wink

I don't know anything about stereo equipment, but I would say something was not wired correctly, you have faulty equipment, or the draw is too high.

so if the battery level is dropping does that mean my alt. is not working properly? I jsut got the car home and checked all my connections and everything was tight. Maybe If i see the warning again I'll back track a remove the Big 3.

The big 3 is not going to cause a problem, nor is removing it going to fix anything. Either your alt is bad anyway, or you battery is running low from too much draw, or it's bad.
