Maybe someone out there can help me out with this. I've recently started to have a minor problem with my car. Sometimes when I turn on my car the cruise control light comes on for no reason. I also notice that when the cruise control light comes on my DIC doesn't come on and my AC or heater won't turn on either. I could be seting completly still and the light will be on. After a while the cruise control light will eventually turn off and my DIC will turn on and my AC and heater start working again. Any ideas what it could be? Any help would be appreciated.

The only thing that ties to all those systems is the BCM... Confused2

Touchee. Forgot about that, but would it throw a random Cruise light?

I've seen weird things when the ignition switch is making intermittent contact...

It could be glitching the cruise module or the BCM

First thing I would check is the fuses and a bad ground

I have the exact same problem on my 2002 LS. See recent post entitled 'Blower Quits' that someone else started. I replaced my BCM but the problem is still there. Have not checked grounds but that is my next stop.

Actually the problem seems to have become more frequent since replacing the BCM.

FYI. BB engineer was correct. Problem with the blower motor and cruise light coming on turned out to be caused by the Ignition switch.

OMG-I thought I was the only one with this problem. Its the wierdest thing.
After a short while the cruise control light ussually goes off and everything works fine.
Sometimes when I start the car everything is fine right from the start.
I have also had my cruise control shut off for no reason while on the highway, but this only happened a couple of times and not for awhile.

A while back my BCM was shot, it led to some weird stuff happening. It can be a pain to get to under the glove compartment, but it's worth looking at, usually you can see if it's visually shot or not. I got the replacement at CarQuest for about $41, fixed right away.

Not sure what you fixed, but it's not under the glove compartment. It's above the parking brake (opposite side of the car).

I know i'm reviving an old thread here but I have these symptoms and I want to fix it. Anybody?

1)Cruise control will shut off on its own.
2) Drivers side of Dual Climate Control Lights up but passenger side is dark.
3) Overhead info center is throwing up wacky readouts and shutting off on its own.
4) Heat or ac wont blow intermittently.
5) AC orange colored light comes on even when no number is selected on the fan.

I think there may be more symotoms but these are the most prevelant right now.
