Here are the instructions for the 06+ STB install
Buy this part number #12498648 at www.gmpartsdirect.com
They seem to be the cheapest. Disregard all but the STB braces that come with the kit.
Buy 4 13mm bolts about 2-4 inches (can't remember how long), 4 washers, and 6 13mm nuts
You have the choice here but for the SS I think this works best. Buy 1 set of brackets from Donrome for the rear and 1 set of front brackets for the front from ZZP. The front brackets from ZZP will give you more clearance for the 5.3l engine (especially for the tranny dipstick and the alternator).
REAR:
Start with the rear one in the trunk. Take the two bolts off the one side and the line up the bracket where the bolts are positioned. You will see that the braket will line perfectly up so that the STB will be going lengthwise across the trunk. Do the same thing with the other side. Now take the brakets and bolt them down to the STB but don't tighten down the bolts (you may have to move it around a little to get it into place). I believe the thicker side of the STB should face toward the rear of the car. Check my pics to make sure.
Make sure you put the brakets on the right way so you can slip them on the strut bolts. Take the brakets and slip them on the strut bolts. Tighten down the strut bolts and then tighten down the bolts on the brace and you're down with the rear.
FRONT: (keep in mind I own an SS but the instruction should be similar for all engines)
Start with taking off the wiring harnasses on the drivers side strut tower. Then do the same on the passanger side. Repeat the instructions that you did for the rear only use the ZZP brackets. Make sure you move the tranny dipstick so it clears the STB. Make sure your wires for the fuse box go over the STB (unless you can figure out a better way) Tighten everything down. Then use the extra 13mm nuts to secure the wiring harnesses on the drivers side to the bolts on the STB bracket. Use a zip tie to keep the wires for the fuse box secure and out of the way and you're done.
THe only problem I had was that the wires for the fuse box caused my hood to very very very slightly bulge up on that side a tiny bit because of the hood protector/foam under the hood. Other than that it worked fine. It's a tight fit but it worked.
I just contacted Donrome and I will post his contact info.
I contacted him last week when this was first discussed and i got no answer. Hopefully, someone else hears something, b/c it's apparent i'm getting nothing here...

I sent him a private message. I know he's been very busy lately but I'm sure he'll respond with the best way for everyone to contact him. I'll keep everyone posted.

I just messaged Donrome and he said his brackets WILL NOT work with the front STB if you have the 5.3l. You will have to use the ZZP brackets for the SS.
Got an addy... I'll send a money order off to him next Tuesday.
Just getting the rear brackets for $35. That should do me good
So all in all, I should have the brackets by Feb. 6th-8th-ish.
