Hey all! I just spent an hour or so cleaning up the engine bay on my 04 Impala and had to snap some pics so others could appreciate it. This car has endured 2 Eastern Canadian winters and 86,000 kms so I was surprised to see it come out as well as it has. All i used was some citrus cleaner and some spray on engine dresser... and some old fashioned elbow grease hehe
that does look good! Maybe I should look into cleaning mine sometime soon.

I used a can of citrus engine cleaner from Canadian Tire(live in Canada eh) and used various sponges to get into problem areas. After 15 mins I sprayed it all off and let it dry. Then I used a full can of engine dress spray (3 coats) and voila. The engine spray seems almost like a clearcoat or varnish kind of spray ;thats what really makes it pop. And before anyone asks, yes I was very careful about my overspray because I know it can really mess up the finsih on the exterior paint
